Emergency Walk-in Surgery

Cairngall Medical Practice will be trialling a change to how the emergency walk-in surgery is run.

 

From 11th April 2016 the emergency walk-in surgery will start at 9.00 each morning. Each clinician will see an equal share of these patients starting at 9.00am.

 

Emergency walk-in appointments are for emergency matters only, and are not for repeat prescriptions, certificates or letters. An emergency walk-in appointment should be restricted to one issue only so that the clinician may deal with it effectively.

 

The change has been necessitated by feedback from patients about the length of waiting time to see a clinician at the walk-in surgery and pressure on the appointment system.
