Patient confidentiality is assured at all times as all staff are required to sign a confidentiality agreement ensuring that strict rules are adhered to at all times. Highfield Surgery are also registered with the Data Protection Act.

Facilities for the disabled

We have facilities for the disabled, including a disabled toilet.

Non-NHS Examinations

We will be pleased to carry out any medical examination which you may require e.g. insurance medicals, pre-employment checks, car driver and special driving license examinations and reports on your fitness to undertake certain sports or travel.

These medicals are time-consuming and cannot be carried out during a normal consultation. Please tell the receptionist what kind of medical you require and the appropriate appointment will be booked for you. A fee will be charged for carrying out these examinations and it must be paid for at the time of the examination. A list of various fees is available at reception.

Temporary Residents

If you are away from your practice area, you are allowed to be seen by any local doctor by registering as a temporary resident. We will be happy to see anyone staying with you, who have an acute medical problem.
